I'm Not Flexible Enough for Reformer Pilates (And Other Myths)

One of the most common things we hear is:

"I'm not flexible enough to do Pilates."

The truth is that flexibility is not a requirement for starting Reformer Pilates.

In fact, many people begin because they feel stiff, tight, or uncomfortable in their bodies.

Another myth is that reformer is only for women. Whilst reformer has become popular amongst women, it is increasingly being used by professional athletes, footballers, rugby players, runners, and men looking to improve strength, mobility, and performance.

A third misconception is that reformer is easy.

Anyone who has attended a class quickly discovers that moving slowly with control can be surprisingly challenging.

The beauty of reformer is that it meets you where you are. Every exercise can be adapted to your current ability, allowing you to build confidence and progress at your own pace.

You don't need to be flexible, fit, or experienced.

You simply need to start.
